Definition of work:
Reporting to the Senior Director, the Clinical Coordinator will be responsible for providing clinical expertise, guidance and consultation to the provincial Supply Chain team in relation to the sourcing and buying of clinical products, services and equipment to ensure each type meets the quality needs of our health system.
The Clinical Coordinator will work with each of Supply Chain's four divisions to develop processes for product standardization and utilization; provide input into sourcing specifications for value-based procurement; collaborate with clinicians to determine clinical acceptability of products; liaise with stakeholders to establish demand forecasting; support activities associated with recall management; evaluate, plan and monitor improvements to the procurement process; and investigate and communicate current clinical product and technology trends and make researched-based product recommendations. Other related duties as required.

Required qualifications:
* Graduation from an approved/recognized school of nursing program is required.
* Current and continuing practicing license with the College of Registered Nurses of Newfoundland and Labrador (CRNNL) is required.
* Minimum of five years of clinical nursing experience within the last seven years is required, including a minimum of three years of experience working in acute care.
* Experience in the clinical assessment and evaluation of medical and healthcare products, services and equipment is an asset.
* Knowledge of procurement and product sourcing processes and strategies in a healthcare environment (including familiarity with the Public Procurement Act).
* Knowledge of utilization and sourcing of healthcare products, services and equipment and value-based procurement.
* Proficiency in the use of computer software and equipment, including the Microsoft Office suite of products.
* Demonstrated effective communication skills, interpersonal skills, and ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
* Demonstrated analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills.
* Demonstrated ability to conduct research and analyze research findings.
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment with excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize workload.
* Demonstrated strong leadership skills.
* Demonstrated strong collaboration skills and the ability to build and maintain successful working relationships with various internal and external stakeholders.
* A satisfactory record of work performance and attendance is required.

* A satisfactory certificate of conduct from the local police authority.
Hours of work:
75 hours bi-weekly (Shift work may be required)

NS -29 ($38.93-$48.14)
