Clinical Associate Obstetrics Gynecology, Temporary Full-Time
Obstetrics Gynecology, James Paton Memorial Regional Health Centre, Gander
Definition of work:
The Clinical Associate Obstetrics Gynecology supports the Obstetrician Gynecologists in the provision of quality patient care in the Obstetrics and Gynecology service at James Paton Memorial Regional Health Center. The associate will work within the scope of a family physician. Services include (but are not limited to) supporting inpatient care on the obstetrics unit which will include daily assessments, rounding and low risk deliveries. Duties also include assisting in the operating room for planned and unplanned deliveries and may also include outpatient clinics. Participation in the on-call schedule to support the Obstetrics Gynecology service is required which may include holidays and weekends. 1-2 days per week may be spent providing family medicine services outside of the Obstetrics Gynecology service. The successful candidate must demonstrate an awareness of and be responsible for promoting and supporting person-and family-centered care, demonstrate a commitment to safety and partner with all team members to improve worker and patient safety by integrating safety into work practices, identifying risks and implementing improvements.
Required qualifications:
* Eligible for registration and licensure as a Family Physician with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Newfoundland and Labrador
* Earned Medical Degree
* Satisfy the credentialing requirements of Central Health's Discipline of Family Medicine
* Work experience and specialized training in Obstetrics Gynecology is an asset
* Consistent demonstration of Central Health's corporate values; Compassion, Accountability, Respect, Equity and Safety.
* A satisfactory record of work performance and attendance
* A satisfactory Certificate of Conduct from the RCMP or local police authority
Hours of work:
75 hours bi-weekly; plus on-call obligations

$158,922-$189,243 annually
